so i found an aswome deal on a 95 subaru legacy sedan, the only major downside at the time was it was fwd but i figured hey its a subaru gets great gas mileage and its my first car and its in one peice so i couldnt be to critical anyways got the car for 700$ and it only had 75k miles on it. i told my parents and right off the bat they started saying how i cant get it, well later that week it was sitting in my driveway, now my original plans were get a job get some money fix a few minor things like the dent the size of a basketball on the trunk(how it was only the trunk i will never know)but then my parents tell me that they bought it so its not my car and that in a year when my brother gets his license its his. so i was pissed and will always be cause i was gonna sell it and by a new legacy. so basicaly i have a year to save up for a new car hopefully a new legacy if i can afford it my dream right now is find an aswome job and have enough for the gt model. if you havent already guess im 16 and dont no alot about cars yet but ive always loved them and hope to be a machanic one day so far the biggest thing ive done is help my uncle and cousin fully restore a 57 gmc suburban which was fun but i still have a lot to learn anyways im just wondering how much would a good condition gt legacy cost me oh and sorry it was so long first post so i thought id kinda interduce myself.

Well I am only 17, have the same basic thing as you but i didnt get a FWD, if you find a good job save up and maybe go for another 95-99 sedan. They're not rediculously expensive and great cars. Dont worry about getting a newer one for your first car. Trust me its not worth it as a young driver.
Peace,
Kyle

thanks and it looks like on this site i will learn alot more than just how to put the biggest muffler tip and nos stickes and then go out and tell everyone how fast my car is and then somehow have an excuse everytime the local racers want to race oh and just to let you guys no im not into the whole ricer scene im more into rallying which is why i love subarus

Good to hear. You will find that very few Subaru owners like rice at all. I've been on this site for only a little while but on nasioc.com for over a year now. Definitely join there too, both these are invaluable references for cars. The stuff on these sites you couldnt learn about from even a dealership.
Peace,
Kyle

if you are looking to get a 95-99 sedan, expect to spend somewhere between 3-9 thousand depending on condition of the car, year, mileage, and trim level. Would definetly get an AWD one though
