I want to install an intake and exhaust on my 95 Legacy LS but i'm not sure what brand to go with. I don't want the exhaust to be extremely loud, but i still want it to sound good.

Lots of people have said that the Subaru SPT muffler is a good combination between good sound and not being too loud.

You can't spend $100 on an exhaust?

stromung catback if u have the money. i have a weapon-r intake and was only $130. also try perrin lightweight pulley. if u want to do more to the exhaust, try random tech HFC and borla or other header.

Everything fits with a little fabrication. Jeez, do a little searching around the forums and reading.
ANY axleback can be made to fit your car - you can show up to an exhaust shop with your $0.99 ebay muffler and they'll make it fit.

I would prefer something that bolts straight up. Can you point me in the right direction to finding something like this?

your not wanting to spend much money so your gonna have to do a custom exhaust, if you cant shell out 100 bucks for an axel-back at least your gonna have to start saving cash man. If you want an exhaust that fits your gonna be paying for one that fits, mine is custom and it still cost 300 bucks, subarus arent as cheap as hondas....

If you want one that bolts up, your options are Stromung or SPT.
If you can find a JDM one, you'll be getting Blitz, Fujitsubo etc. You'll find those on ebay.
Otherwise, just buy a used STi axleback and have an exhaust shop fit it.
Either way, if you go bolt on it's $$$.
If you don't want to spend money, you'll have to custom fab with a universal like an Apexi knockoff.

Is this a direct bolt on? Is it worth the price? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-Tru ... 059932928& (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-Truck-Parts-Accessories__JDM-Subaru-Legacy-95-99-BG5-Fujitsubo-Axleback-Exhaust_W0QQitemZ370059932928QQadnZCarQ20Q26Q20TruckQ20PartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQadiZ2865QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item370059932928&)

It is a direct bolt on. If you have a wagon, it will it perfect, if you have a sedan, it will stick out a hair because of the extra length of the wagon. It doesn't seem like a bad price, but I wouldn't expect too much from it.
