.Forester/Legacy HU Swap.

My boy has a 98 or 99 Forester. I was going to trade my HU out of my 98 GT LIMITED for his HU because he has a HU with a tray. I want the tray so I can use my Alpine HU. Let me know if the swap will rin smooth as far as fitment. Thanks.

Are you just going to use it to fill space?( Under/Over your Alpine) If so, Just keep your brackets if they're not the same already to be on the safe side. If it's a double din, it should just swap over.

If it's about the wiring, I don't know.

all the double din plugs are the same for 95-02

Single din swapover shouldn't be a problem. The Forester uses an Impreza dash.

Yeppers, plug and play too. Should have 0 problems on the swap, other than a huge amount of cleaning for the x number of years worth of shit spilled behind the trim panels. Sans cleaning, you're looking at about 30 minutes total to do the swap.
