While on a lift :grin: ...amazing what a car can do when it doesn't have to support its own weight. The bad news...... both of my cv joints on the front are shot. I've been hearing this thumping noise in the cabin coming from somewhere underneath. Sounds almost like a flat tire at speed. As usual when trying to sell a car, everything will brake.

Gah, i feel your pain. My front diff fried itself a week before I was going to drive the car to the buyer. I wasn't going to give a car to a guy that survived Iraq just to let it kill him. :-?

Update: it wasn't the cv joints i blew but the wheel bearings......no shocker there.

Been there. A year ago, I had to replace both front axles and one hub because an axle had frozen to it. I think it was something like $400 by the time every thing was done. Blech.
