I got an EL TWE manifold for cheap, and finally, after having to go to an exhaust shop, have it on and installed. There's a pesky heat shield that is rattling like crazy that is driving me crazy, but I'll be fixing that tomorrow.

Wow, the manifold actually changed the sound of my intake. It does sound kinda hondaish now, but I'll be putting the snorkus back on soon anyway, so it will be quiet. I've got a fubared gasket, new gaskets tomorrow, so hopefully that will fix that as well. It performs really well though, my car has trouble starting now. Doesn't fall on it's face at 6,000 rpm anymore either. Worth it to me...

Glad you like it

Did your car have trouble starting with the manifold on? Mine cranks 4-5 times, used to crank once then fire right up.

I have these same headers but not coated.

I miss the UEL sound sometimes, but I am used to the EL sound now.

I really like how much quieter it is at idle.

I don't have any problems starting.

Not really, mine fired right up when I installed it...did you reset your ECU? That may help.

Also, did you make sure the bolts to the 02 sensor on the header are tight? I don't think that would contribute to it, but who knows...

The turbo dream went down the shitter I see. I'm a fan of UEL headers, rest your ECU like rouge said, that might do the trick.

The O2 sensor bolts weren't tightened down, as I found out today! One of them fell out at speed, and scared the shit out of me. I recovered it (using a wad of paper to keep from getting burnt) so I'll be putting it back in later after the car cools down some. I also gotta put thicker gaskets in since it's not sealing properly where the header connects to the cat.

Yeah, I actually ended up using a smaller bolt and nut for the cat section (where it bolts up to that one hanger) so I can shift the cat section slightly to seal the connection better. You can also try remflex gaskets.

If it gives me more trouble, I'm gonna sand it down and flatten out the mating area.

I got it to seal good with a fresh gasket, though, no more popping from the exhaust. :D

It totally changed the sound from my intake, though, wtf.
