ok, I got my JDM side skirts today. My question is, has anyone installed these to your BK, and is there a simple way to do this? It looks to be that i would have to drill wholes on the bottom of my car. I was thinking maybe use some tuff ass 2 sided tape but i dont know.

Opinions Please!!

Thanks

Clean up the underside of your car REALLY good. Do the same for the sideskirts - use a tack cloth to pick up loose material. Take the car into a garage - close the door and use really good lighting.

Template up the drill points based on the sideskirts - tape them up temporarily. Drill the hole smaller than the actual bolt size.

Use tack cloth and vacuum to remove debris from drilling.

Use some black mastic/sealant/industrial glue along the rocker panels and along the side skirt - attach the side skirt so that the hole and end caps line up with the car. Might help if you have additional hands. Use jackstands to support the sideskirt.

Use self-tapping stainless screws w/ washers to reinforce the glue.
Helps if the glue takes at least 24 hrs for full cure.

Keep the garage warm so that the glue doesn't become brittle.

Once it's cured, spray the exposed bolts with underbody sealant/rubberized coating to prevent rust starting.

yeah sounds good.. ill take my time and let it set for a day. It has clips but it still should work fine. I have tons of the same clips that came on it.

Thanks a bunch. Huffer

Yep, but you'd have to be extra careful making sure the surface is properly sealed, and that the side skirt is attached.
