Hi everyone,
I just got my first Legacy, it a 96 OBW with 173,000 on the clock. I tried a few other forums and this one seems more my speed. I just sold my 84 diesel rabbit to make room for the outback and I have a 92 SVX so bare with me as I'm new to the mainstream soob. I'm going to need lots of help as my searches are not giving me concrete answers. Especially in the transmission/engine mount dept. She has 2.2 5 MT and I want to upgrade the mounts with minimal to no mods. What year make model mounts will fit? My local dealer is not very helpful with this or any other kind of anything :-(

Welcome to SLi, the search feature sucks, plain and simple. You will find most of the information you need with some reading and a lot of patience.
What mounts are you looking for?Engine tranny mounts? I would assume so since you were looking in drive train. Your mounts are there same as the rest of the 90's Subarus and pretty much all if not most of the newer models. Group N mounts would be an upgrade, or are you looking for stock replacements? I can send you a link that has them cheap.

Upgrading the engine mounts on a 2.2 OBW is the same part number for any pre-2005 Impreza or Legacy... same thing for tranny mounts.
Unless you're going for performance, then just stick with OEM. Better yet, buy a set of WRX lightly used engine mounts for less than half the price of the new ones... check out NASIOC.com for some deals.

A link to some cheapos will do just fine! I was also considering STI group N mounts trans and motor. I just need either part #'s or years and model and if it is a direct fit. BTW this is exactly why I joined here, thanks for the quick replys. I also need some info on the spring that holds the shifter in place. I have a good 2 inches of side to side slop. I can't find any info on this ANYWHERE.
