Has anyone done a flat black or satin black paint job on their vehicle? I am going to do it, just looking for any tips or tricks from someone who has used this type of paint before. I love the look, I just dont wan to screw it up, and there is no way in hell I am going to pay the japanese rates to paint a car.

I did it on my grille, and want to do a satin white on the car when I have it repainted. If my car were originally a compatible color, I'd consider black for the respray, but black after white makes for a lot of work.

how did the grill turn out? I am going from dark green to black, so it shouldnt be too bad. Was the paint pretty much self settling? How many coats did you use?
