so im wondering what type/brand of wax everyone here uses.
if you liked a wax could you post a review of how you like it.

good overall wax. gave a good shine. not too glossy. cleaned up the dull paint on my bumpers. the amount of wax you get in the jar is smaller then most paste waxes. and gets used up faster that bees waxes. you might be able to get 5-6 waxes out of the jar which is not worth the $17 price tag (but comes with a microfiber cloth also) its nice not having and white marks in the body gaps. it seem harder to take off that a bees wax paste and its just not the same shine. it does make it easier to wax if you have to wax in the sun and dont have the shade to wax it. i probally wouldnt buy it again because it doesnt seem to give the shine i want and doesnt seem cost effective at $17 and a small jar of the wax.

I voted paste because I liek Meguiar's NXT gen stuff, no white residue and shines wicked.

However this paintjob around I used 3M Perfect it II Dark machine glaze followed by 3M handglaze on fresh parts and Meguiar's Hi tech #26 yellow wax

on old stuff, and worked great, easy take off and awesome shine. only have had it on for barely a week so we'll see how the longevity of it is.

I used liquid ICE on a jeep liberty and was good because it took old was residue off the plastic trim and made the plastic look ok for a bit at the same time.

Yeah we used only their compounds beside the 3M glazes on my car.

If I am lazy, I will use NXT liquid wax and a buffer.

If I am bored, I will clay then Klass All in one then Klass sealant with a buffer. At the end, I will hand wax my car with harley davidson S100 paste wax

there 3step wax awsome. the new tech wax great. i like paste more. hand wax all the way looks 10x better than a buffer(i think). i highly recommend mothers clay bar before a good wax job. i wax my car ever 3 months or less. because i like my car to look good. every 3rd time i will clay bar it just to get off all the road grime/old wax.

this is the most durable and easiest to use wax I have ever had. I put it on with a pc to try and get it one super thin or it is difficult to remove. I used to detail on the side for tuition money so I have lots on products and collinite has been the best. Deep color, long lasting, no white residue.

OTC stuff from walmart or autozone just cannot compare.

Went on easy, in direct sunlight, on warm body metal and plastic. No white residue, deepened the shine in my paint and minimized swirls. Easy to work with. Worked wonderful on the Carbon Fiber too. However, I'm not seeing water beading off like I'm used to with the NXT generation Tech Wax liquid. Makes the graying black plastic trim shine black again without being greasy or leaving residue. AWESOME.

On warm metal, with a breeze, or in sunlight, you have to put this on panel-by-panel, and wipe off before moving to the next one. The shine was brilliant and the paint looked great. I had issues where it would get on black trim and slighly discolor it though. Water would just slide right off the car with this stuff, a great product, though a bit on the expensive side.

I've always used Meguiar's products, and have never been let down. I've used the Gold Class paste, NXT paste, and Cleaner Wax paste.

Cleaner Wax goes on the easiest, and paint stays smooth to the touch for a few weeks, even after a couple washes.
This paste works great if you claybar, then use the Meguiars Spray n' Wax before applying the wax. It makes application and removal a total breeze. I'd just recommend using armorall or some sort of shine protectant for black plastics so it leaves no white residue.

I really like this stuff, lasts forever and it's cheap. Water still beads of and I waxed last fall. Best bang for the buck out there. Not the best to work with on a hot sunny day, but in the shade or a cloudy day it's great. I'd be surprised if you tried it and didn't like what it did.

I tried meguiars, I was honestly underwhelmed with their wax. Water still beads and everything, but it didn't really shine as nicely as Liquid glass. I still have a couple years of the stuff, so I'll stick with it (Liquid glass that is).

When I was workin at the Benz dealership, I claybar'd my car, buffed it about 3 months after I got it, and used Mequiars #26 at least once a month....Now that I don't work there anymore, I wash my car about once a month. My baby needs a detail badly, I feel like I neglected it :-(

+1 - that is exactly what I do now. I used to use Meguiar's Gold Class paste and hand wax, but hand waxing seems to take at least twice as long. I'd rather just wax it twice as often with the buffer.

is a buffer worth it over doing by hand? Yeah I know you need to be careful but I have so many types of waxes here like Meguiars Gold Class and Meguiars #26 wax. And one more I can't think of right now..
