Greetings! I've been a lurker on SL-I for some time, collecting tidbits from prefious postings to help my son and I keep out Subies on the road.
I own 3.5 Legacies...:
1 - 99 SUS - His (Black) - only way to tell apart from:
1 - 99 SUS - Hers (White) - to keep driving mine - buy her one
1 - 95 (with 98 GT parts) - Son's
.5 - 98 GT (T-Boned by a BUS - parts in 3 above)
We love our Legacies and will run them until the break, then fix them and run them some more!
This past winter we converted my son's 95 from automatic to 5MT from a 97 GT and cleaned up the valves on his 2.2. Purrs like a... ok, as much as a subaru engine CAN purr. But the 5MT is SO FUN to drive, I think I might do it to my SUS, some day.
Anyway! Thanks for all the tips, tricks information and support (both past and future). This is a great resource!
