Does anyone have a good picture or diagram of the spring that holds the shift lever in place. I want to make a junk yard run and would like to know what I'm getting into. Tools needed etc... Search turns up no results as if it doesn't exist. I think this is the answer to a lot of peoples problems and should be made more aware. Thanks.

I haven't pulled the boot off my manual yet, so I can't really help you.

Thanks. I have some partial pictures but not enough to see exactly how it goes on.

There's 3 different style shifters in the legacy's... You're really going to have to be a little more specific. What year are you talking?

Also, to my knowledge there is no spring... Unless the spring is down at the transmission.
