Thought I'd post results and pics of my ground kit. I used 6awg, STi pink colored wires. One from battery to chassis, one from battery to motor block, from the block to the headers, from the headers to the fenders. I will have to get pics of the install tomorrow, but for now, check out the wires in all their glory. Cost me about $22 for everything (wires, shrink wrap, connectors (both 3/8" stud and 1/4" stud), zip ties, dialectric grease (connector protector packet), and new bolts/nuts for attaching points. Anyway, here's the pic of the wires:

As for results, I will post my thoughts in a day or two once the feeling of having a new mod wears off and I can judge it with clearer mind. All I can say so far is the idle is the smoothest I've had the car running, and throttle response at night feels crisper. I noticed no throttle difference in the day however.

Ok pics of the install. Please excuse the dirty engine bay. I was going to clean it, but I didn't think I had enough time or the right cleaner.

Thought you were going to clean out that engine bay before you posted pics? ;)

Good install, you didn't ground as much stuff as I did, but you used better wire.

How hard was the 6 ga. to work with??? I found my 10 ga. to be kinda difficult :?

It wasn't too bad. I didn't really have the greatest wire cutters which made cutting the wires harder. Getting the ends to crimp on was a pain, until I realized with 3 wires to go that my mini vice clamp could crunch them on real nice and tight with minimal effort. I also cut nearly an inch long cut into my thumb when I was cutting the coating off with a knife. I found normal scissors work as well, just a few seconds slower and are safer.

I have been thinking about my setup though. Electrical systems work best the shorter the wires are. So I think I am going to cop alot of those wires up, and ground to different points with shorter cables. Looking at other installs, short cables seemed to be the norm. Also, with a thick gauge like these wires, there's more resistance per inch than the smaller gauges like yours. I imagine this is the same color as your install though, correct?

I really like the look of the wire from the block to the electrical center up top, and the one that follows the intake. The intake one needs to be shorter, and I don't really like the battery to block or the electrical to driver's side strut. They just seem to dangle there. So I hope to clean those up as well.

You migh also have noticed the blue sheath around the connectors. Thats the main reason I used black shrink wrap. I didn't want the blue connectors nastifying the look.
