So I was wondering if anybody has had any success with any lesser known brands of tires out there on the market? If so what was it? We're talking about High Performance tires and up. Just curious.

Kelly and General too. Just a little googling and you'll usually find most of these brands are made by the big companies, usually changing the rubber compound a little and/or using an older tread pattern from one of their mainstream tires.

Got Kelly Fierce UHP's for the summer, no complaints, good summer tire, wear rating is a little higher than the goodyear eagle f1's they were based on so they ultimately don't have the same stick, but they should wear much better.

+1 on the Sumitomos. I had HRTZ+ on my FWD Talon, and that fucker launched once I had the turbo spooled. I caught a few AWD DSMs out of the hole with that set up.

yeah i love them.. they make great tires. Use to be a bit cheaper then they are now, however every set of sumitomos i've bought have been awesome in the performance / cheapness factor.
