Possible to drive a 5spd legacy with a Automatic ECU? at least for like 1 month.

Maybe. Depending on the ECU you might not have a working speedo, and then you've got the harness to worry about.

ABS is hooked into the TCU (4EAT) as well.

crap i forgot about the ABS,

i want to prep my car and even out all the possible problems before i bring it in the shop, if i got a manual N/A ECU is it plug and play or is the harness different?

Are you having a shop do a tranny swap for you?

If so, then your best bet is to just simply remove any and all trim that is going to get in their way, and leave it to them.

In my experience, owners who do too much to "help" end up delaying what is normally a quick process.

Don't forget about the pedal box.

yeah a shop will be doing it, i am gonna take out the interior console trim thats all, i am literally swapping trannies with the GTB, so i am gonna go in search of a TT Auto ECU and hopefully a harness, i dont think the TT M/t and auto harness is the same.

Pure cheapskates on this island so i am taking the tranny and the rims and put in the Auto and ind some cheap rims put on it then hustle it off. I rather suffer a loss and benefit from it than to just suffer a loss lol.

Trying to convince the Ins Companies to cut me some slack on the m/t non turbo... being 19 sux

Just for the record it works with no modifications to the ecu.

Just note that my car is non turbo, not sure if it will work on a turbo charged car.
