Rim colour

Going to paint my WRX rims sometime this spring, and I'm trying to think of a colour. Ive narrowed it down to these:

- Black
- Gunmetal
- Gold
- Bronze
- Silver (aka not painting them)

Im favouring certain colours more than others, but Ill see what you guys think!

Lee, did you see that thread on Nasioc, where a dude painted his GT rims gold. It looked soooooooooooo damn hot, and his car was also white :twisted:

the GT rims have more body to them, and look more elegant than the Rex Rims, however, so the gold may not look as good on your Rims...

Do gold anyway, gold is the best rim color ever, only on subys though. I'm getting a second set of 14's for snow tires and they are just plain silver but I'm definitely painting them gold.

I saw those, they looked awesome. I also agree that they look better in gold than WRX rims.

I'm probably going dark bronze or flat black on mine after winter, but on white, I'd go with gold all the way...maybe leave a silver lip.

I considered a polished lip, but the WRX rims arnt designed with a polished lip in mind. The spokes join directly into the lip

A guy over at east coast boost painted the stock wheels on his WRX black, and it = meh. Looks ok, but I think the gold looks hot, there was a WRX with gold JDM wheels on it at NOPI and it looked good. :)

Lee go with gold, I myself plan to paint my forester rims gold. Besides, I think all subaru matches GOLD better. :smt045
