How do you remove BG racks

Do I have to pull the whole headliner out to remove the roof rails from my 1996 BG5 wagon? Any info you can provide would be helpful.

i think you do. when i replaced the headliner in my wagon, i remember seeing a bunch of bolts sticking in right where the racks would sit. removing the headliner isn't all that hard though, shouldn't give you any trouble.
