is it possible? I have the complete ABS system from my outback, can I put it on the Brighton? Anyone done it before?

Or, if not, can I just use the braking system? convert my junky brakes to the nice 4 wheel disk (dual piston calipers)?

Thanks for any help!

Hey Jennifer,

You can convert the entire system over, but you'd need to mount the ABS system in the engine bay, run the hard brakelines to it, install the ABS controller and hook up the wiring system.
Then you'd need to convert your brake system to the Outback system and have the ABS tone wheels & sensors installed (and then hook those into the electrical harness.

It'll be a lot of work.
You can still convert your brakes to the 4 wheel disc, you'll need both rear hubs and you'll need to run your e-brake cable too. You may not be able to run 14" wheels anymore though.

Is the ABS stand alone or is it hooked up to the ECU? Does it have it's own control unit?

Thanks!
