Nice looking GT, and the lip is interesting... makes me wonder how hard it would be to mold something more specific to our front bumpers...

I'm not feeling the wheels. And the lip looks out of balance without a rear lip spoiler.
Maybe if you painted the older wheels a different color and lowered it...
thanks for the honest reply,
im actually getting a new style front lip and will be colour matching it within the next few weeks and as for a rear lip, ive been looking around and found a pair that i think will work and will be colour matching it as well, hopefully all will be done within 2-3 weeks

Nice car mate, i saw that pic you posted up on NASIOC
I reckon in needs a drop, otherwise the wheels look a bit odd.

I thought the old wheels were just perfect for the car, I much prefer 5-spokes, but maybe with a couple of other changes and a drop the new wheels will look okay!
damn it... I need a lip, like bad

I'm not feeling the wheels at all. maybe if they were bigger? Maybe with a drop they'll look better, but that model looks best with 18s IMHO.

I like the new wheels man. and the lip
You car looks awesome and I usually don't like the 3rd gen's
thanks for the imput guys, i know its not typical but i really like these rims a lot and theyre very light
i finally had a chance to wash the car and clean up the dirty tires, i think it helps the rims a bit, and excuse the bandaids on the front lip, its broken haha

that's an awesome wagon there. I love those wheels...
Thanks guys, i was at a meet last night and omeone actually mentioned that it made the car look wider, sweet.....
also the rims, im not sure if theres another set like them, they were specially ordered for a celica racecar (i think) and then i bought them but the centerbore had to be changed to subaru specs. I got them for cheap and forgeline seems to be a highly regarded company with forged wheels, and these are 2 piece which ive always wanted haha
this winter they are getting completly redone

Got my car back!!!
The suspension set up is AMAZING (bh bilstiens with sti pinks) it feels so connected now,
the only thing is that i have been carrying around the winter tires on steelies in the back so
i actually havnt seen the real ride height yet.
I am also missing the tow hook cover, ill have pics soon but one thing i will say is that it looks
so wierd without a front lip

Just a head up for you, it will scrape everywhere hahaha even my type R lip does too

well if I ever come into some money.. I'd like to purchase your suspension setup..
I tried to purchase some JDM BH coilovers on AVOJDM but my indecision beat me and someone else nabbed them.. Thought that you might have grabbed them.
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/Screenshot20090902at51923PM-1.jpg
the jdm set up is really comfortable with a mild drop, I would have kept them but theyre not low enough for me anymore.
and I did get that set form AVOJDM but it took me a month to decide, I thought that there might be something wrond with them but so far ive driven about 60 miles and theyre alright but really stiff
Ill post some pics when I get a chance to take them, btw I really like your wheels

You are the one who beat me to the punch on those Tanabe Low down coilovers... ! that's what I get for procrastinating.. Well Glad they went to someone who shows the wagons some love. Definitely post some pics when you have the chance. I was a little worried they'd be too low for my weekly snowboard adventures..
Well if you EVER decide to get rid of them.. Please let me know.. But I'd be willing to offset the cost of you JDM setup for a reasonable price?? Did you already get rid of them?
The new wheels are good.. but the Offset is a little timid. I've been running Rota wheels for a while and these new wheels are a 53 offset. Don't really look that aggressive on the rear of my car. We'll see..I got them for such a good price I could probably sell them and get a pair of New Rotas.
Offset is kind of a tricky thing with our cars, but I think im going to go with a more aggressive wheel set up next year
I got the coilovers on :smt005 :smt005 :smt005

btw, i messed up my front fender this weekend :-( (too low the wheel rubbed and pulled the fender) I was able to bend it back but I think im going to have to get fender flares next year :smt005, just a warning to you guys, my wheel set up isnt even that aggressive, 17"x7.5" et50 yeesh
regardless no more mods till next year, unless its digital desert camo (semi serious)

what alignment are you running? Are you fenders rolled? You're too low to begin with, but with the right alignment you couldve avoided that.
I dont have camber adjustment but when straight the wheels have plenty of clearance,
I was just going up the driveway with my wheel turned (my fault) and I guess it was steeper than I thought and the angle of the driveway pushed the wheel into the fender :smt012
Oh well lesson learned, I will however be rolling and perhaps pullng the fenders early next year but for now Ill just have to be more careful (that fender had rust anyway  )

it looks great...but I'm thinking that too low for me and having my legacy for the winter here in WI... What is the total drop you have? a ballpark would help too. Think I might be more for some H&R springs. I've seen the thread area on the coilovers turn to rust on a few cars after winter.

wait, youre on coilovers. Even the cheapest coilovers out there has at least camber, if not camber/castor, adjustment built-in from the plates on the top...what kind of coilovers are these?
And of course you'll have no problems with the wheels straight. A good alignment is for when the wheels are turned

rougeben83: Yeah I thought it was wierd too but apparently these are very basic with only height adjustment, I know I have to get an alignment  Theyre JDM Tanabe Sustec PRO coilovers I think theyre more old school because they dont look like the ones on the Tanabe site Oh well
Speedmanrc: It is quite low but suprisingly with my daily commute im not having that many issues, some major pothole i have to memorize but other than thats its been okay :smt023 I think in total ive lowered 2 and a quarter inches, more so in the front though but my coils are only down abour 2/3 of the way and I was lowered about an inch last winter in Toronto and I NEVER got stuck even when I tried. and I was worried about the rust with the coils too but when I had them installed my mechanic sprayed some TEIN anti corrosion fluid on the threads, I hope it works

Yeah I tried looking for your coilovers (tanabe down low?) on the webz and couldnt find anything useful. You need negative camber on the front, that's the main reason you ended up with your fender issues - the tire literally pushed the fender out from behind as it compressed during a turn. I run -2.5 on the street myself - I have never rubbed the fenders on the front and this is with a wheel that's an inch wider than yours, sticks out 7mm more from the hub, AND my front track is wider by 20mm from the control arms. A lot of WRX/STI's (which shares the same suspension setup in the front as the BE/BH) run -2 to -3 as well.
If you can get some camber plates on the front, I believe that will completely solve your rubbing issues at your current ride height. Of course...you could always raise it a little bit

I would pass on the CF hood, but the rest of the car I would pick up along with the existing summer wheels.
I probably wouldn't change anything except raise the ride height an inch. My wife would love it.

Hes not even rolled.. Rubbin' like crazy. I don't know man your car definitely has the WOW-factor but your BH needs thicker sharper spokes. The grapes look like they should be on a Nissan Stagea not a leggy.
Either way come out to the Hypermeet!~

Heyyyooooo. Can't remember the last time I signed on. By chance I find this thread.
Ya, I'm retarded, still haven't rolled my fenders. I wouldn't say it rubs like crazy though. Mostly because I never put in full lock. It would if I did.
BH is looking sick. Paint job on the wheels looks way better than mine. I'll be at the Hypermeet, a JDM meet at SquareOne this Sunday and the Kennedy Commons meets every Wednesday. Including tonight. Stop by to say hello any time. Still feel bad flaking out on the rims you were selling before.
Ill be at the Budds meet this Sunday and the Hypermeet for sure but I would like to see the JDM meet as well, have the details on this meet?
and no worries on the wheels, theyre long gone
btw, ill be rolling tomorow or friday for my other set of wheels :smt005

^^Copy and pasted from JDMRides.ca
"Going to use my regular spot.
Due to the fact that the meets are getting so big I'm gonna try this spot again.
Bvans Square 1 meets of 2010! August 8th@8:00pm
Sunday coming up should be pretty big, No heatbags please. Trying to keep this low key
Where: Square 1 Zellers North parking lot
When: Sunday August 8th @ 8:00pm
Who: Anyone and everyone!
Why?: Because we're due for another huge meet! For those who dont come regular we usually head over to Coopers pub for some wings after the meet, if interested feel free to join us. Newcomers are always welcome! Hope to see you all out!
Anyone with retard friends tell them to not be a dumbasses, or gtfo. This will be another big meet, and hopefully will have no issues. I will contact security ahead of time.
Backup location: Mclaughlin and Bovaird timmies(most likely wont need this but listing it just in case)
Should be a big turnout as usual List up people!
Side note: Dont rape your car rolling in for those who dont know the ground there isnt flat, so you may scrape your car pretty bad if your slammed."
Man I wish Budd's was closer East.
Finally got the wheels I bought for my self in Japan for my birthday :smt005

If you don't mind anwsering this question as well: What did you use to secure the JDM mudguards to the underside of the body, screws, clips, etc? Thanks
ah sorry man I guess they finally sold out, I still have mine and am willing to sell, send me a PM
thanks for the great feedback guys, honestly the tires are a bit fat so next year i will be going lower profile so I can get my car lower again
'Buru in the Burgh: For the best results shave of the top part of the lip where there is a return so you get a real smooth edge, itll make mounting a lot easier, use two screws on the end of the lip and two in the center on eiterh side of the center opening in the bumper :smt023
Again, thanks guys its been a lot of work especially this year to fit the wagon :smt006

One of my favorite cars on this site... Couple questions for you: First, when you did the 03-04 conversion, did you just swap the 03-04 bumper cover and fogs? Secondly, did the fog light wiring from the 00-02 bumper work with the 03-04 fogs or did you have to re-wire and get a new harness and what not?
Thanks a bunch.

Did you have to replace the bumper support beam, was there any difference between the 01 to the 03 ?
Thanks for the comments guys, ive been really busy lately and also tooling around in an old Rav4 for this winter (couldnt stand the thought of driving the wagon in the Toronto salt after just having it painted)
As for the bumper swap, im sorry I cant answer your questions the bumper was replaced after I hit a tire on the highway. The only thing I can confirm is that it is a direct swap and that the fogs are pricey.
And THANKS for the nomination :smt023 im not sure whats next for the wagon though

Thanks for the response, I talked to 00legacy and he confirmed that only the bumper cover needs to be swapped as everything else is the same.
Did you get the entire exterior of your car repainted? I'm looking at doing the same thing. Just curious, how much did it cost to have it repainted? Thanks
Yep, the whole thing was repainted factory 89N,
not sure about the cost but the rule with paint is generally you get what you pay for and preparation is key
