air/fuel guage question

Has anyone put a A/F guage in and if os havea DIY on it. I got the guage just no instructions, or any idea on how to connect. I have a 95 2.2 L

great now just to find wire from ecu, Now do I want to tap into front or rear O2 sensor? I think its the rear but not sure.

i believe you can tap into anywere after the connector plug so you wont tap in to the sheilding wires on the o2.. connect to the upstream 02 (front)

I belive the wirteing diagram shows a YR but not for sure

umm is it cal or fed emissons? but i still think its W because YR is connect to both front and rear O2
you could alway test with a 10amp voltmeter


umm. (this is based on my car 98 2.5)well there a black (heater ground), yellow red (heater B+), white (signal) you should hook the signal wire for your gauge to the white wire.

ok i got your instructions for you since I had to blindly put mine in with trial and error and i take no responsiblitely this is what worked for me, MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY!!!!!

1 make sure you got you wires you need and tools needed
I ran mine throught the door, and not through the firewall cause im lazy!.I will do it soon but not now! I have the af gauge with 3 wires, black is ground red is power and white is O2 sensor, if there is another its for the backlight of the gauge its self.

2. Get access to your fuse box in the car and remove this panel see pic then remove the cigarette lighter fuse, and loosen a ground bolt.. meaning you need to have a good ground connection for the gauge

Then put the power wire into the fuse, and push the fuse back in holding the wire into place, youll need to use like a 20ga wire or the fuse wont go back in

then take the negative wire and put it under the bolt and screw it back down to make the negative connection

Then disconnect the O2 sensor up stream and look at the female end there are 4 wire, you need to hook the signal wire to the BLACK connector wire, if you looking at it from the top, its the right top, there should also be 2 greys and a white wire

then you should reconnect the 02 sensor plug with the signal wire in place and black tape to make sure it stays put!

reconnect the battery and try it out!
