My power antenna broke off and i've been going to a lot of places (such as CT, best buy, partsource and even Subaru) to find a replacement. I don't want to replace it with another power antenna. I would rather like to have a the stereo amplifier that can stay inside your car with the transmitter on the windshield. That way, I can just plug the outside antenna and have it completely removed. Looks cleaner that way.
Anyone know where I can get these internal antenna amplifiers? thanks for the help.

Have you tried Crutchfield.com?
Or even just get an antenna replacement for a later model Legacy. Splice a wire, run it up along the back windshield and you're good to go.

A though if you are going to remove your antenna how are u going to fill that hole that the antenna came out of. Also dakota digital makes a antenna for like 60 to 75 bucks that is a interior antenna for hot rods and such for a clean look. Ive delt with them before and there good people and carry good products.

You could fill the hole easily with either a bondo or a patch weld... Even a siliconed rubber plug would work because the physical hole isn't that large.

Yeah, Dakota Digital is selling it for 69.95.
I think i'm gonna order one.
As for the hole, it wouldn't be that hard to patch up. A rubber plug would do the job.
Thanks for your input guys.

Don't listen to the people telling you to get the Dakota Digital thing. Crutchfield carries a window mounted antenna for $25 bucks. I have it and it works perfect. $65 is ridiculous for an antenna.

Unless you're looking for a good quality product that's discreet and works well. Nothing is ridiculous if the quality matches the price.

It's true, I don't think an antenna has a big difference when it comes to getting a "better quality" one. Anyways, i checked out crutchfield, and i dont know if i'm dyslexic but i can't seem to find the window mounted antenna you got from them. can you post a link for it?

Ok, I was just going through the process of ordering it, and under 'My Cart', it said this: "This item is NOT recommended for your vehicle." Why would it say that if its "universal"? doesn't make sense.

because you're wasting time with a stupid piece of wire.
Just splice and extend, delete the other one and you're done. Sheesh.

LOL. done and done.
oh, btw, impreza_GC8,
what's the measurement of it from end to end? looks pretty big for it to get mounted on the windshield.

I'm like 600 miles away from my car but from memory its about 2 feet long, no more. It is only a bit larger than the rearview mirror.

I ordered it on Thursday and came yesterday! Installed it at the rear window (used the connections from the power antenna motor mechanism) and it works awesome. Thanks.

I was thinking of just replacing my antenna ontop of my roof with a shark antenna(S2000 look).
