Painted JDM projector housing

So I'm not so sure about this one, but I noticed recently that the JDM projector fogs have opaque black housing inside of them as opposed to the headlights, which are entirely chrome. I don't own JDM fogs yet, but I was planning on picking some up pretty soon, and was thinking of painting the housings on my headlights at the same time. This is a picture off an Impreza to show more what I'm talking about:

ive been wondering how the projectors painted black on a silver BD would look as well.

ebay seller keithtau has these up for sale...

just heat up the cover, split the headlight, paint the silver parts (as long as they're not used for reflection), seal and go.
