anybody done an engine swap and had extra wires left over?

lol...
joking... i am in need of some wire, and it seems that the extra that you guys have left over would be perfect for what i need. so if anyone has the obligatory "extra wire box" from your swap still kickin around, i'd like it.

lmk.
thank you

talk to cajual, I think he has a ton of spare wiring sitting around.

If not, Gator GT could probably help you out.

Mmmm, if I was done my swap, I'd be more than willing to help you out...but I'm keeping my cards to myself until she is up and running....which doesn't look to be until spring...no motors that I'm seeking are available right now....

I've got a box of wires that slightly resembles what Chris has pictured.

Bump for other shadetree swappers here on the boards that are done with theirs and have the excess wiring....

All in all Perdue, it wasn't that bad figuring it out. Just download all the wiring diagrams for the specific year WRX wiring you have, print them and put them in a binder. It was my first time reading wiring diagrams and dissecting massive amounts of automotive wiring. You just have to be methodical, thats all.

I was one of the more fortunate ones.....I was able to acquire a complete uncut (under the dash) bulkhead wiring. This is the best way to NOT GET confused. If you get anything less, you're asking for more complexity, headaches and plenty of threads on NASIOC asking many questions.

Ideally, you get the rear harness (for the Fuel Pump Controller connector at the very least), front harness (for surplus wiring, relays and the such) and the complete bulkhead.

You could get the fuel tank cord too (like I got; part of wiring package deal) if you plan on upgrading your fuel tank as well to get all emissions sensors for the WRX ECU.

Why Fuel Pump Controller connector? Well, try making your own. If you run new age WRX turbo motor in a safe manner, you'll need the FPC. period.
