WRX 4 pot brakes, what will I need to swap?(BD legacy)

I have the stock calipers, and lines, and I don't know which rotors, I have, they look like aftermaket stock size slotted and dimpled. I have my eye on this kit, but, I just need to know what to buy to make it work. I have oz superleggeras, so, they should clear even with sti brembos(only what I've been told).

You need WRX rotors...go to autozone, they're $30 a piece.

You really don't need any more than that, unless you want some extra brake bling or the name.

No new lines needed.

I suggest new copper washers for the banjo bolt though. They're less than $1 a piece (you need 4).

Also, could I just get the front calipers and keep my stock rears? I'm new to brakes, when you press the pedal, do the fronts do all the work, or do the rears also, or are the rears just for the E brake?

Fronts do about 75-80% of the braking. The rears do the rest, except in emergencies when you lose braking to one of the fronts...

The e-brake has different shoes separate to the disc brakes.

alttile of topic but im curious has anyone looking into swaping the master cylander and booster from the stock to an sti one or well just a larger one to accomidate 4pots/2 pots. i came from the VW world and those cars were leggos especially the mk2s and the master cylander was a common thing to swap for a larger one when you upgraded the brakes. and input is good .

Only reason to get the bigger cylinder is when you run Brembo brakes. The 4pots/2pots were designed with the smaller cylinder.

Don't think this has been covered--you will need new wheels or a 5mm spacer. the 4-pots are WIDE calipers, they'll hit the spokes of standard subaru 16x6.5 wheels.

However, any 1998-2001 Impreza 2.5rs wheels will fit (16x7). 06-07 wrx wheels will obviously fit(17x7.5), as well as any wheels for the 04 USDM STi(17x7.5).

EDIT: You're gonna need a brake pad pin/slider set, as well as backing plates for the pads. The plates should come with OEM subaru pads, but the slide pins(i think that's what they're called) were extra.

I bought everything, with a discount from a friend in the parts department, for $750. Install was a breeze.
