stained glass paint

Where can I pick up some krylon stained glass paint for my fog lights? I already checked a couple local places and got a few funny looks. I didn't find anything remotely similar to it in their paint sections. For the yellow painted foglight crew: where did you pick yours up? I checked online too, nothin.

ya, they show it online but then it says "this item is no longer available" when I try to checkout.

It's no longer available in any ACE RSC (warehouse). That usually happens when a product is discontinued. I've checked other sources that we get product from with no luck either.

Direct from Krylon might be a possibility.

Wow- no way. I just got paid. I'm going to go look tomorrow for a can of yellow and a can of red. If they have it I'll buy an extra yellow can for you and we can work out transaction afterwards, but I don't want them to stop this stuff! The only other thing you can use for yellow tint that is paint based is some chrome stain that comes in different colors (including yellow).

Are you guys taking the fogs off, or leaving them in the car? Can you just take the front grille thing off (of the lights), mask around, and paint?

I painted the outside of my foglights, but I painted the reflectors of my highbeams. The reason was that I didn't see a way of getting my fog lights apart...

The 97 Outback wagon has a grille protector thing on top of the fog light. I didn't know how to take it apart, or if you guys even took that apart, prior to painting the fog lights, that was my question

Also on another thread by "LEGACY," I read you were doing some custom work on the tail lights, any pics?

The foglight grills unsnap but you need to remove the foglight in order to get to the grill tabs. The fogs are held in with two bolts on brackets. Two bolts per foglight. The bolts extend vertically into the bottom of the bumper so you need to pretty much lay on your back facing up. Once you drop the fog, use a flathead screwdriver to pop up the tabs holding the grill in place.
