sohc to dohc

Hi i would like to know if there is anyone out there that could help me lets start from the begining right i have a 2000 legacy with EJ20 engine sohc non-turbo would it be possible to change the heads to DOHC off a 2000 wrx turbo and plus the turbo without changing the entire engine please help as i have two donor cars to use but i cannot use the main block due to legal reason :cry: :cry: :cry:

You'd have to get standalone or piggyback engine management.

Your original engine has a much higher compression ratio than the turbo, and even if you swap all of the turbo parts on, the car will not run properly.

The EJ20 heads on an EJ25 block won't really work correctly, your combustion chamber is going to have such an odd shape you probably woul dhave a nightmare tuning it.
