What do Rally Teams typically use for Tarmac tire sizes, especially the Subaru teams? Equivalent street tire size please? As well as rim size?

Most of the rally subarus I have seen use 15x7 with 195/65/15 gravels, as they are the easiest and cheapest to find usually.

He said tarmac  I imagine 17-19" rims, as they have to clear the brakes for the much stickier tarmac.

GDA WRC spec is an 18x8, with a cut slick or intermediate that equates to about a 235/40 18, they're they'r emeasured differently. Motorsports tires are more honest measurements isntea dof the "narrow/wide" game street tires play. You'll see a spec like 220/650/18, which means the tire's section width is 220mm wide, the overall diameter is 650mm (25.6 inches), and it mounts on an 18". In comparison, most "235" tires have a much narrower tread width than section width, and tire height is a relative, determined by aspect ratio. A 235/35/18 and a 235/40/18 will be the same width, but the 235/35 is going to be nearly an inch (.9") shorter in diameter.

On the GM8 shells, you'll see anything from a 16x7 to an 18x8 depending on year and prep level. Only the widebody cars ran 18x8's, the narrowbody cars ran a 17

Keep in mind rally includes Group N all the way through to the big boys in the Group A cars. Technically, Group N spec is a 17x8 on the newer cars for tarmac, dropping to a 15" that clears 4pots for gravel/snow.
