VERY SIMPLE goto a junkyard and find a acura with yellow center lights.
take them off the car and act as you are taking out the bulb. take out the bulb and you find 2 more screws. take out these screws and the yellow glass comes out.. now guess what.. these will screw directly into our jdm high beams without modification. take our jdm highbeam H3 bulb holder out and screw the acura one in. re install the bulb and enjoy your JDM dirty yellow high beams!!!!

il post up some pics of my install i have no pictures of the car i got them out of but when you see it youll know what acura it is.. ( might be a older TL) with these stye headlights

for color comparison im going to use a white plastic bag. being that my camera phone doesnt like the bright yellow too much.

interesting. More incognito than mine. What kind of acuras have these? Are you talking the more luxurious 4 door models and such then? Snap a picture of the headlights without the lights turned on and the bulb condom thing installed?

you cant see it with the lights turned off.. so no one really knows till they come on that why i like it.. and yes its a luxury model 4 door. not a legend
you can find the yellow projector lenses for the jdm fogs in older lexus's with the fogs. i have yellow lenses in my jdm fogs..

yellow light will create more contrast to the human eye... but the light isn't actually brighter.

yellow also penetrates farther then white light so you can see a lil farther and it looks damn good

IIRC someone on here said that yellow light is better for the snow too, but I'm yet to confirm that . I'll wait until the snow comes to test his theory out.

Before, I had 6k HID on my old headlamps and Yellow overlay on the fogs. During winter, snow on the ground will literally be so yellow  ..Didn't make much difference in brightness but just alot of contrast of the yellowness...

I like being able to see where my light is getting thrown. In rain/wet/snow the yellow reflects alot less and yes, produces greater contrast . Sometimes my whites are better in the rain, and sometimes my yellows are. I have never been flashed with my yellow highbeams, and I've been flashed twice with my white low beam projectors.

those are nice. I had a 91 integra with JDM headlights and they had that yellow bulb cover. The problem with that thing is after the years it gets all dull and actually you loose a little light on the sides. I noticed a huge difference when I took that piece out and replaced it with some lumnics yellow bulbs. It was a good 70% brighter. I could see past 2 more cars overe that cover.

The PIAA Ion Plasma Yellow H3's are very nice. I have those in my fogs, and they light up more than my headlights.

you also may want to remove some of the metal sheilding to make it even brighter.(found this out the other day) makes huge difference.

That's cool that the parts can be directly swapped. Will that only work on JDM headlights or will USDM work, too?

Rubie_25GT and I did this. We found out the yellow bulb covers from Acura RL's, Vigors, 1st gen Legends all do not bolt right in. However we found that the covers from a late 90s Lexus ES bolt in, but you have to cut a tab for the ground wire.
