Ive been thinking and looking at different ideas and I think i have found what i want which is a suspension that will work for both minor offroad excursions and for street aplications. My only problem is they dont make if the the outback. What i want to do is go with a ground control coliover conversion and use KYB AGX struts so that i can vary the feel of the suspension. I have looked and KYB dosent make if for a outback all they make is the GR-2. I would like to go with adjustible but does this mean they wont preform as well.

Also the coliover conversion kit dosent come with a kit for the outback but I can order them with whatever spring rate i want. here is the page im looking at. I know that the suspension parts can swap but I dont know if any of these will work.

Im going to be changing my tophats so thats not a problem. Also my budget for the whole suspension is about 1000 so if there are any other better ideas for this amount of money im completely interested. I did see somone mention Ksport for the outback but they only have a 1 year warrenty. Thank you for any help. also im probally going to need sample spring rates from other coilovers I know ill probally have to do some math to get the exact rates for my car but Id like to know what is working good for everyone else. I live in morgantown WV so im mainly interested in spring rates of people that live in hill blessed areas like myself.

Tweak, Ground Control makes good stuff. With a $1000 budget, I'd consider getting a slightly used WRX suspension (I just got a '06 Saab 9-2x suspension onto my wife's '97 Outback for $260 shipped) and match it up with the corresponding Ground-Control sleeve. Granted there's no warranty on used stuff, but it sure is plentiful and cheap.

Either Nasioc or I-club. The new wheels came from one and the strut assy's from the other. The ride height is about 1.5-2" lower (can't get far enough under to measure to the collector--that's the lowest point) and it does sag about an inch, maybe less in the rear. Doesn't bother my wife (her car), so I don't really care. Take a look at my post in this forum for a picture of it on the car.

sweet and the saab 9-2x suspension as what year Impreza or wrx thats about the stance I want but i still want to go with coilovers cause in im thinking about some rallycross work soon if i can get to a track and get all the rules and such but deffinatelly next year ill try to hit up the tracks and if im going to put new suspension on it might as well do it to the best of my budget intstead of buying a new ones in a year but thank you very much your a great help.

Any AWD Impreza suspension from '95 to '06 (except STI--only '04 for that one) will work on your car.
