Hello friends,
New to this forum but have been on awdpirates.net for years and years (that's actually how I met my husband!). I had some parts to sell and was referred here by a potential buyer who saw my ad on Craigslist (gotta love Craigslist). I live in Arvada, CO and would never consider moving away, except perhaps to Texas (I know, I'm not right). We have had 9 Subies together in the years that we've known each other. Our favorites were:
"The Don" 97 Outback- lifted! Supremely awesome. May he rest in peace.

My dear Rufus, who was stolen 6 mos after I bought him, 06 Impreza 2.5i:

My favorite, my 05 LGT, Mr Giggles:

So as you can see, we do love our Subies, and I think we've almost singlehandedly had every model of Subie ever made. The cars not pictured are the ugly brown Brat, the 85 Turbo GL wagon, and my husband's black bugeye wagon. Nice to meet you all, in advance. :-)

We're really trying to limit ourselves to 3 at a time now. We have our two Subies and a 90 4Runner that is pretty damned cool too. :-) Our short attention spans are legendary among our friends....

Wow, I've never seen a Forester XT Sports in Sedona red before... that is hot.
That's quite a nice set of rides there. I'm diggin' the MiniLite-style wheels on the GL too, awesome! Welcome to the site!

Yeah, my ForeSTi is a manual too, adding to its novelty. I was amazed how few manuals there were in such a fun, "sporty" car! Says something about the American population, unfortunately.

We traded him about a year ago for a project Brat. I think my husband was insane to get rid of him- he worked so hard on him, and the car turned out really cool.
The Brat project never came to be, and we sold it too! :-)

He's not parting with that (the GL hatch's name is Grover) anytime soon. He bought that off a kid for $1000 bucks and it was totally cherry. :-) Sometimes around here you stumble upon people who have no idea the value of their cars! My husband always seems to be around when those people decide to sell. It's a blessing and a curse.

I am not a Forrester fan but yours looks awesome. I also like the rugged looks of the outback. Oh hell they are all very cool cars.

Yarr! And welcome! I was wondering what a person in denver, who I didn't know, was doing selling a skid plate and a JDM grill.I'm on pirates as well by the same name and was the one who emailed you about the site. I remember seeing the Don at a red rocks meet along with Colonel Mustard.

The one who emailed was named Joel and he said he was in San Jose? Was that one of your personalities? :-)
It took a surprisingly long time to sell those things, considering that the prices we were asking were ridiculously low.

I emailed you asking about them, and said post it up on here, but I didn't see anything, so I posted up your ad here and said if you wouldn't ship I'd buy it and ship it. And yes. rediculously good prices, I would've bought if I didn't already have the grill, and I don't have as much of a use for the skid plate as others on here.

We got rid of them eventually, so that was good. Thanks for your help! :-) Our garage is a place where old Subie parts go to die (or hibernate), so it's nice to get even some of them out!

That would be me. Kind of bummed that I didn't get the grill, but at least you found someone who will make use of it. Anyways, welcome to SL-I and love all the rides you have/had.

Wooo more pirates! I go by the same name on there, but greetings to you here! The Don was supremely badass.

With Subaru's being Colorado's unofficial state car, you'd think there would be more owners here.
Nice collection and sweet LGT. My wife and I bought my parents '97 LGT... We're hoping in another 10-15 we can buy their 3.0R.

I was so sad to give up my LGT. I freakin loved that car. But it had black leather, which was impossible to clean, and the dog's noseprints didn't come out- they stained the leather! So I had to upgrade to the ForeSTi. I got a gigantic-er sunroof and cloth seats, so much better for Dog.
