I take it offroad as often as possible:P
The only damage i have managed to do to it is a cover under the petrol tank i think.

Fixed the PIAA's last night and they are Loud, moved them to the grill instead of behind the headlamp.

FF50's coming on soon.

Combined with the horns i think i will call it a week. Taking it to the shop tomorow. To pull the check engine code.

I was thinking about that myselft. But i think i might take off the wipers and give them a paintjob first.

Just took the car to the shop for diagnostics.

Just bought a second hand MTX 9500 12" with a huge ported box. The 8" was only temperary. Will install it sometime this week. The Check Engine code is now gone. The shop deleted it.

Just need a couple of amps and a 6,5" speaker set and the stereo is complete.

Does anyone know how to get the instrument cluster out? i need to get the lights fixed by August:P

Found the problem on my sunroof, the rubber gasket get stuck when i slide it open. then when i slide it out again it gets stuck. so i removed the gasket and started on sanding down the rust/corosion. Sand it, paint it and glue on the gasket again.

Will take pictures later, maybe a couple of the audi setup aswell.

Legacy89

Tried to fix the sunroof last night and that went horribly wrong. sanding down the rust around the 70-80% i could get to. Then when we painted it with some rust protection we discovered 2 cracks. one on each side. during the night they have become a little bigger. I think i have to get a new one. or get a salvaged one from a wreck. it has tint on it so i wont get the entire thing in the car if it brakes.

Ordered a new sunroof today. Aswell as a Blaupunkt Velocity Subwoofer amplifier and 50mm2 kable.
New front speakers and amplifier is next. When the car is payed for(loan)

Think i put the wires for the fogs trough a vent or something with the heater. When i put it on legs there is a ticking sound.

Well, Think im gonna get a new car in january/february. Checked the price for a new sunroof and it cost half of what i paid for the car. im gonna run it to the ground and sell it for parts. Buy me a 97-00 Outback. Take out the stereo, auxhilary lights etc ofcourse.

Just ordered a set of new tires, KR17 - Kenetica 195/60 R14 got half a mm on the front tires and 1.5mm on the rear.

Got something done this weekend.
Installed a new Amp today, Blaupunkt VPA 11500 with 50mm2 kable, ground under the back seats.
Installed a set of strobes in the position/park lights not finished tough.

Got some new rubber last friday, GT Altimax 195/60R14. Thinkin some nice 205/50R16 on new rims next year. Use the OEM ones as my Winter rims.
They're prettey well balanced. only 5-10G weights on each.

Put in some nice 100W Sumax Rally bulbs in the fogs.

Now does anyone know how to take out the Instrument/speedo cluster?
Need new Leds in it. Cant se the speed/fuel at all, and RPM cuts at 3500.
Also the P,R,N,D,1,2,3, lights needs replacement. only the D one is dead but they are all over 15 years old.

Will upload pictures tomorow.

Audio is way to expensive in norway. The install is just temerary. i have 3 kables in it now, the 25mm2 and the 10mm2 will be replaced by a 50mm2 like the one i have. when i get all the components i want im planning on redoing all the wiring to get it the way i want it.

The rats nest will also get taken care of. I just need a garage or a nice sunny day. i stood in the sun and did it, and then the rain came. I just needed it to be done, Volt jumps a little less now when the sub hits.

The strobes is for the wintertime drifting. :)

Starting at high school or whatever it's equal to in the states after the weekend. i chose the mechanic line or Technical and Industrial Production. As its called.
Can change the shocks and other maintenance work while at school:)

Oilchange and new lights in the instrument cluster.

Total Cost: 348.50$

Need to check the wiring on the HU it only works when i want to.
and im trying to buy some precut tint film for the rear window but Ebay just wont let me.

Think this will fit my car?

Mine had Kenda tires too.
I just contacted a guy down south about a 93 LGT, had this car for a year, time to upgrade the engine. Either get a new car or just a part car with intact engine.
I found 2 Black Legacy Turbo's one with a shot bearing of some sort(cant translate it) and the other with a Impreza GT engine and tranny, aswell as 4 TSW 17" gold rims.
he wants 7Grand for it, i will probably get 3-4 for mine, or just part it out and keep what i may need.

I LOVE the BC but i think im gonna keep it and get the 01 model. Use the BC as a project. Rally, Drift or SPL car. The thing about the BC is that repairs on the car will cost nearly as much as i used on it a year ago.
New sunroof, shocks, all gaskets(uses a little oil)

But since i live so far north there are no real place to have fun, no tracks or any meets at all. i have to drive 1400km to get to the nearest track/meet.

And besides, it looks like the deal of a lifetime. The owner of the car has only had subaru. First a BC, then a bugeye preza and now this.

I have seen all his cars and there isnt even a scratch on the paint. Non smoker as well.

Not for the BC, fix the sunroof and fix the small problems on it and sell it on. I cant afford to have 2 cars and i dont have a garage to keep it in.

Only move the stereo from the BC to the BE, tint 20-35% front 5% rear. and some subtle mods. H.I.D. probably maybe 2x PIAA 520 SMR or Hella lights.
Some JDM parts if i can find what i like.

At least its a local guy so i can still se it. At least during the winter months.

im getting about half of what i payed over a year ago but the money will go to a new battery and a Defa Warmup kit for the BE.

Will be taking out the stereo and my personal items in sometime this weekend i think.

For gods sake, Dont!

Cops everywhere and drifting illegal. We're trying to get a place where we can drift, and do as we like but we havet got it yet.
Just last night 2 persons lost their licence because of that.

They havent cought me yet but me and my friends drive around with police-scanners so we always know where they are.

But i did get pulled over for sliding in a roundabout, Just told them that its 4wd and studless tires and that i have to do what i did to get around
No ticket, no warning, nothing. They just told me to avoid doing that.

I kind of pwned the cops the other day too, they drive a diesel Passat, i look in the mirror and there they are. They follow me up a hill where i stop in the middle (letting trafic from the right pass) and they had to drive back down to get up the hill

When they get up here they think its the wild west or something. Taking every little thing so serious.

over here, they graduate, get a locker, get a uniform, and get the keys to a new volvo.
then they go out and stop Everyone they even suspect has been doing something.

the older cops here are alright though.

Legacy89

I know most of the older cops, theyre alright. Its the recruits that bother me. I have been pulled over twice since i took my license. The first time it was because a jackass in a Preza did some drunken driving, its also gray like my 2.2GX. And they asumed it was me because it was a gray subaru. And the other time they were looking for a dude in a white hoodie.

The only time i have ever needed the cops help was about 3 weeks ago when i got a punch in the face. I reported it but so far they havent done anything about my case.

http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh289/tmjpwns/IMAGE_017.jpg

I wont buy it back now, will concentrate on finding a BC Turbo or a L1800 Pickup with T-Top.

Legacy89
07-23-2009, 03:12 AM
I bought it back!
My friend who bought my BC damaged the front end a bit but when i heard he was going to wreck it i just could not let him. Offered him 200$ for it.

Will pick it up today and take off the bumper, headlights, left fender and take out the sunroof and start on the repairs.

And since the BE is my daily driver, i will do the works and get a 2.0 Turbo for it. Since the BC is the only Legacy that came to Norway with Turbo.

It will almost be a total rebuild. But first we have to do some work on o Honda before we get to mine.

He met a bus that cut the corner, we started working on it last night, cleaned it out, removed the bumper and left fender. Took out all the windows and tinted them.
Removed the headliner and sunroof. Went to the scrapyard today and asked if they had some of the parts.
Bumper, fender, headlights and sunroof. Other than that the car is fine.

Also removed the old GSM antenna in the rear window and the pump/tubes for the headlight washer.

kind of yeah im ukrainian, but i also have family in russia and other parts, ill be in moscow in about three weeks and then go to my wifes hometown, but yeah i have a thing for metric measurements,
looking at your climate control it the same as usdm visually while jdm ones are mirrored this makes me think its not the climate controller thats responsible for displaying metric or imperial but rather some kind off a setting or ecu or something along those lines

rpmgarage.com has one for 62$ + shipping from Hong Kong.
But i think there should be a switch or a jumper that chooses the C/F. Only thing i would do to mine is to get blue lights in it to mach the rest of the dash.

it may be a setting you can toggle on the climate control unit when you first install it. The digitial gauge pack/trip computer that some of the foresters came with asked if you wanted the readings in metric or standard for example...

He takes pics along the way, but he never takes the camera home. He's affraid he might leave it home for weeks:P
While he works on the body i look for a EJ20T in good shape. Allready got a buyer for the EJ22 with the 4AT if and when i get a turbo.

Went up to the school today to take a look at my friends progress on the BC (body&paint is his project)

Sorry about the quality, could not find my camera.

This is basicly the color, may be a little darker but it all depends on the computer screen:P

Rear right door. This was damaged by ice and snow throwed at it by the plow:

The hood is repaired after the crash and some rust:

We ordered front bumper, headlights, mirrors etc today from finland, and to save weight and money on the build the electric sunroof will be replaced by tinted plexiglass. Also the front shocks are basicly dead so we will go for coilovers. The transmission is showing signs of wear and tear so an engine swap is in our plans. A EJ20 Turbo, 5mt. That is what we can get approved and that is what we can find.

Well, i can't afford to run two cars at the moment, so i have given this bad boy to my brother. We will fix it up this summer. The paintjob is done a year ago but everything else is still to do. Headlights, struts/springs, brakes, transmission and engine all needs to be looked at.
I will help my brother to source the parts and get them installed.
Tough i told him he weren't allowed to sell it other than back to me when he wants another car.

Besides, 3 out of 4 of my job/school applications means i will go away for a year. One is the army, second is Svalbard(Coal mine) and third is a town 462km away, and the fourth is at the local Caterpillar workshop(Iron ore mine).

So, it's been two years, not much has happened, but this summer big things are coming.
Next month I'm going on a roadtrip to Sweden and my newly purchased Turbo Wagon donor car.
Actually buying a MB Sprinter just to haul the parts & tools. Going to order the all the bearings and seals for it and overhaul it before i install it.
The turbo on the donor is a bit worn so a TD04 or TD05 will be going in with the engine.

It's also 5mt so that will be converted, and as an added bonus, the donor has AC.
