I 'think' I remember seeing where these had good reviews by several of you, but I just wanted to make sure before they arrive and I throw them on. Did those of you running this setup use header wrap or high temp coating of any kind?

I thought you were selling?

It never hurts to coat them with hi temp paint to protect from rust and road grime.

yeah, I tried that route with selling, everyone is just like me though and is discouraged by the poor gas mileage these things get, oh well, I'll keep it and maybe pick up an early 90s civic or something.

I asked about the coating because I seem to remember reading somewhere about CELs without doing something, but I could be remembering incorrectly. I am planning on probably high temp coating it in black anyway, just wanted to get other opinions.

Oh yeah, another thing if anyone knows a good place to order a K&N filter online for a good price, shoot me a PM. The autoparts stores locally don't stock the filter for 00-04 legacy for some reason, so when I changed it the other day I had to use some cheapy piece of crap filter that I need to get out of their quick.

The 00-04 filters are the same as the 99-00 Impreza. ;)

You should consider investing in an rear O2 sensor spacer to avoid the P0420 CEL.

that will eliminate your cats completely. Bung spacer may or may not be enough to keep the CEL away, just don't be surprised if that happens.

we shall see I guess.... I could of sworn these were the headers that all you guys recommended last time I asked, so I just bought them without checking with you all this time. Guess I should have as I may have got something incorrect huh.... oh well, live and learn.

Hang on, they'll work - what rouge is saying is that this isn't JUST a header replacement. It replaces the header AND the catalytic converter section.

There is an extremely high probability that you will end up with a P0420 CEL based on the rear O2 getting too much exhaust flow. Using a stacked spacer may help.

yeah, I'll have to try and get a bung spacer and try to space the sensor out to try and fool it... like I said, we shall see... now I just gotta get an exhaust to match it with flow so I'm not choking her out...

if you're talking about a K&N filter for the stock airbox, yeah, that is what I'm looking for... yours in good shape?
