Which black? There are literally 10+ Subaru "black" colors.

hmm. the darkest richest looking one. im going to start with black and put in alittle titanium pearl in it. this black is going on the hole bottom half of my car.

they say the paint code on the plate on the left strut tower in the engine bay.

Do you want:
"Java Black Pearl" that's black with gold flakes
There's a Black with Blue flakes(02-03 Impreza)
There's also a Black with red flakes. (1st gen impreza)

Java black. Paintscratch.com will give you the code, just do a search for 2005 impreza WRX STi black paint.

yeah i found the code and talked to the paint shop near me. he told me 650 for the bottom half of the car. primer, base, color, clear. i dont think its a bad deal.

geez thats cheap. i got a quote for just a front bumber and that was $400 (taking off, refinishing, primer and paint, puting on)

If you know and trust the guys, that's a great deal. And on a gold car, I think the Java Black Pearl would look stellar. You have a good eye man. :cool:
I looked into having the lower half of the baja sprayed to match the upper half...expensive...and getting all the body cladding off is an epic undertaking.
