I got the 2232 K&N filter and tried to put into the air intake box for my 99 Subaru legacy outback (Limited), 2.5L EJ25D engine.
It is not a perfect fit, the air box cannot completely close like the OEM filter.
The rubber on the K&N was like "pushing up" the joint of the air box at almost 1/4". it has a little gap on it.
I am wondering what other filters that the club member use? Is there any cone filter with the 4 bolts connection that I can purchase? (HKS?).
If so, where or URL?
