Hey guys... wierd issue I'm having. I noticed a while back that when i pulled out of my parking spot and turned the wheel I would get a quick squeak that sounded just like a drive belt slipping. so i tightened the drive belts and still this happened... not always and if it did, just for a second. but yesterday, i started the car and turned the steering wheel before applying any gas and i head the squeak. so i put the car is neutral and just stood there turning it left and right and the squeak was coming from the steering wheel turning.. not the drive belts. what can this mean?

I am having the same problem. About 5 days ago my car started to queal when I started it and when I put on my A/C. I looked under the hood and everything seemed fine. Then 2 days went by and on my way home when I would press the brake pedal my tach would go crazy the RPM's would die. Get home turn the car off and it wouldn't start. Check the engine and noticed that a bolt to hold up the alternator. I unbolted the screw and held it up and bolted it back down. Now there is no squealing at all. could be the same problem but not sure.

is it from in the engine bay or is it the actual steering wheel rubbing on the steering column? i had a lady tell me here car would squeek as she turned and i went crazy trying to find the squeek but it ended up being the steering wheel squeeked when you turned it and it rubbed the column
