Need Help

I have a 2001 Legacy GT that I bought at an auction, when I bought it it wasent running at the time but was drove to the auction and drove through a couple auctions but was parked and when they went to start it again it wouldnt start. But it did run when they parked it. Put a new battery in, horn blows, power drivers seat works, park lights turn on and off, but does not start and dash does not light up. Anyone know what the problem could be? Need to have this problem solved ASAP. Thanks.

Dash does not light up at all. Talking to another person about it and he said it could be somthing to do with the security system, anyone know more on this? Car did not come with an owners manual either.

check relays and fuses... eliminate all the easy things you can.

Done, replaced burnt out fuse first thing, still no luck

one thing i would do is check to make sure your getting power to the ecu, take a multimeter and just test the wires coming to the ecu from the battery, and from the ecu to the components. your going to need the diagram/schematics of wich wires are wich. but after you get that you can see whats not getting power
