hey guys just recently the plate inside my resonator broke nad now my exhaust has a tendency to make an annoying rattling noise. i am having a hard time finding ant sti catback to replace my exhuast so i figured i owuld ask....
do any of you guys know or have experiance with mieneke or any muffler shops. i wanted to know a ballpark figure or ifits even worth asking them to do a custom cat back of just a mid pipe at that.
in all honesty im pretty broke right now and wanna find the cheapest way to have a decent sound with no resonator rattle.

either buy the parts/peices u need and have a friend weld it for free or like a case of beer or something, or take it to a meineke or something they are usually a couple hundred dollars to get a catback done if u bring the muffler

go to a hole in the wall place. I don't trust places like mieneke(sp?) I got to my local hole in the wall mexican place. Cheap price great quality!!!

how can i tell when i have arrived at a hole in the wall place? i live in washington D.C. area haha. does the name give it away or is it the people haha ?
well this post was to mostly see if anyone here has tried it nad to get a ballpark for a custom bent exhaust by a muffler shop.
figured it wouldn't cost too much since the midpipe only has one real bend and the muffler was gonig to be an sti muffler so basically i am just getting a midpipe made.
any thoughts i would like all the help i could get maybe some different options i havent looked into?

Midpipe $80
STi axleback $75
Fabrication $35
TOTAL $185
This was done for me, in about 2-3 hours by a place that does exhausts, nothing else.
I probably should have got them to ditch the 2nd cat as well, but I forgot and was in a hurry.

+1 it is illegal($10,000 fine for each cat removed)and i am having this same setup as huffer except i have a wrx 3 1/2 inch catback with a 5 inch slant tip
Yeah I had my custom 3" exhaust done at Meineke, but I knew the owner and he personally did the work. I think it ended up being $300 including a high-flow muffler and a stainless steel tip.

Borla Cat back exhaust.
Not feeling the dual tip's! BTW you could have had that made with the same Muffler for about half that price.

According to the description it only has one tip. Unless I read wrong.

It's a single tip. Akuma failed to read and just looks at the pics, which are not representative anyway.

3" is too big for a normally aspirated car. You'll sound fast, but that's about it.

Think of it like as if you take a tube and blow air into it. The bigger the tube the more air you have to push through. But yet your car only output a certain amount. For a car that is not Turboed or supercharged I would go up to a max of 2.5" but a 2.25" should work best with our cars.
