I basically am wondering if a 1996 legacy RS turbo is a ej20h. Also if anyone knows any basic information about the car itself. I tired to search on here, but the search features on forums always let me no where.

Any help info, would be great. Wondering if this car would also have the 3500-5000rpm "dead zone" like all the other TT's I've read about.

thanks

The dead zone is because of the twin turbo setup. If it doesn't have twin turbos, then it won't have the dead zone.

If it's an ordinary RS, it's an EJ20H, if it's an RSB, it's a 20R.

The difference is the 20H has smaller turbo's and injectors, different ECU etc. etc. So the 20H is the lesser of the two, but less prone to big end bearing self destruction.
