I've sacked my brain out looking at swaps. I want to do a swap that isn't tha common, the ej20t is just really hard to get right now for some reason and over done in my mind.

So there was a guy on there that did a single turbo swap on a ej20tt. That is what I was looking at doing. However I want to know if it can be done on a lhd leg?

I also am wondering about wiring and what not. Since I have a legacy is there any nicer plug and play set ups that don't require extensive amounts of cutting and splicing. I refuse to do the harness merge with ecs I know I can do it myself, and i want to try it out.

I think taking a legacy engine from a jdm car might be more suiting for my leg anyways.

I just don't know how easy it would be to find a b4 ej20tt or if that would be the best to go with for my set up. Most of them I find are the ones from rs's or that's my guess...

Doesn't matter what car they're from - getting them to fit like stock in a LHD is a PITA.

Ask Moclovflop...

You can do it, but you have to remount the turbo, and mess with a few other things in terms of the intake manifold.

It's not the most cost effective swap...and the TT engines have this nice habit of lunching their bearings if the boost creeps up too high.

STi RA v3/4 engines are probably a more unique swap... but with uniqueness comes a reliability cost.

I kind of need to choose something and go with it...I started to really look around and I fell in love with what I am finding out about the UsDM ej205. I think thats my swap and then i get to play around with openecu...it should be fun...thanks a lot for the help huffer

The single turbo swap will be dead EASY, compared to the whole swap in general, so i say go for it, get an EJ20TT and convert it.

There's 4 (or 5) EJ20TT's, the EJ20H, EJ20R, EJ206 and EJ208
You want an EJ20R or EJ208 btw, don't even touch the EJ20H.

The EJ20R's unfortunately LOVE blowing big ends, if you can afford to, it'd recommend rebuilding it. The V3/4 STi engines (basically the same as the 20R, but single turbo) don't suffer from the same problem so much...
