They won't fit. They might bolt on, but you're at the rubbing point when they're stock offset, let alone with a 20mm adapter.

^^^^ Truth, and the stock STi wheels are 7.5" wide, aren't they?

actually i dont even think they will bolt on.. im quite certain that starting in 2005, the STi had a 5x114.3 bolt pattern as opposed to the 5x100 pattern on your car. why dont you just get the 04 STi 17x7.5 rims? those are 5x100.

The 20mm adapter i think he's talking about is one that also changes you bolt pattern from 5x100 to 5x114.3, that's why he's curious about the width.

exactly. i have brand new 17x8 05 sti wheels given to me. i want to see what my best bet is with these, as far as the 5x100 to 5x114.3 adapters

Best bet? Sell them and get something unique. :D
There are WRX/STi owners out there who will pay top dollar for mint wheels.

The JDM v7 STi wheels off of the bugeuye's are some pretty nice pieces. I'm partial to those, of course.
They look good on pretty much every subaru.

Spacers and stuff like that are not a good idea anyway cause it puts stress on suspension components. Sell them and get ones that fit.
if you are set on using those wheels, project Kics makes 15mm adapters and those are the smallest you can buy.

also its your car, your parts, and your money . if you like something and want to use it. dont let ppl tell you that you are wrong for doing it. if everyone that ever had and idea about customizing there did do it because ppl said "oh thats bad" we would have anything nice right now.

Yes. Only the 04 sti wheels will fit. No other sti wheel will fit.
Adapters that will change your lug pattern to 114 is more than 20mm. Think how long your current studs are, and youll need a spacer thats a bit more than that.
Changing the lug pattern via spacer is not advised anyway.
Given that BD's even have trouble fitting 225 width tires on the right offset to begin with, you won't be able to fit the spacer plus the offset of the 05+ BBS anyway.
