Fun stuff

Here is some video I shot last year in Hakone. I have hours of drifting overlooking Gotenba.

Somewhere off of Route 246

I was a passenger in a Silvia. My buddy drives a black Supra, you may have seen him up there, he was going every weekend possible. Also did some grip racing in Hakone as well.

You need to dump the Laurel and either go to the dark side (2JZ) or get a 180.... :-)

hell no. i love the laurel, and it has room for the kids in the back. i had a 180, and i loved it. when the laurel came around OMG it is 100x eaiser to slide.

just kidding

Isn't it funny how some cars, like the Toyota Chaser 4dr are so driftable?

My buddy takes his 10 year old drifting with him. I got some video of him talking while I am filming. Classic quote: "Dad! You almost crashed back there! AWESOME!"

I prefer drifting to grip racing because the speed is much lower. Those guys are just flat out crazy. Especially when it is 2 a.m. and they are navigating around trucks going 30 km/h.

Maybe I should put more up on YouTube. I can if you like.

Be safe-

Nice vids. You are doing all right. Just keep up the practice.

Much better than what I can do, and it takes some stones to toss a heavy sedan around like that on those skinny roads.

Cameras.... well, I had a lot of trouble in the fog, I am not sure what elevation you are at, but it can get misty/foggy where we go. The camera does not like the low light either, so outside the car shots are done aiming down towards the line on the edge so the direct headlight shot does not kick the autofocus to blurry. In car, I have always held it but I think if you aim it to stay on the brightest part of the headlight pattern that may help.

PM me and I can hook you up with the guy who took me up to where the videos I took were shot. Much longer runs and no traffic.
