I was wondering if one of the vendors/ indipendent companies who can machine parts be able to machine some BD/BG specific camber plates for Coilovers? if that was possible then it would open a big door to our suspension needs. i am pretty sure allot of guys here would love that because the camber plates on the non specific suspension is set at a off/Wrong angle. and it worries me :-/

Just a thought.

its going to be very rare to see a company do that. with all the money they would need to spend on a very little market... no company that makes coilover for the 2nd gens sells the just the pillowmount as replacement parts?.. you could shell out some cash for cusco camper plates..

edit* what about these?

Why can't you use stuff for an Impreza?

^^ I believe it's because the tops don't fit the Legacy springs, and I think the Impreza struts have a different insert that goes into the top hat. I'm not 100%.

If you're running OEM-size springs you can use any GC tophat that will work with the oem impreza spring perch, just use your perch with the GC tophat.

But if you had Impreza strut assemblies or coilovers, there'd be no problem....

When dealing with coils, you have the added complexity of how the top 2.5" spring perch is integrated. I have no idea how it's done on the Megans.

Legacies use a GC/GM fitment in front for the right orientation, and a WRX one in the rear.

That said, there's no reason to be worried, because unless you're tracking the car and changing the camberplate settings often, all you're doing is altering caster and toe a little bit; Subarus like more caster, and toe is easily adjustable on the front.

Swap the top hats on a WRX fitment side to side and it's only off by 10-15 degrees.

That's my passenger side. My car aligns perfectly, and there are no issues with running it like this. Hell, AutoX guys will sometimes mount the hats 1/2 rotation so they can get all the available caster.

I wouldn't bother with trying to source parts from 2 different lower-end suspension manufacturers that may or may not have the same tolerances or design; I wouldn't try to run Cusco plates on my Tein's, either, to avoid fitment issues, for the same reasons.

I've put almost 100k on the setup pictured with no problems.......
