Got bored yesterday and pulled the back seat for the first time, and cleaned out the crap stuck between and under the front seat tracks.
When I first got the car I found just over $2.00 in the center console and now I just unearthed another $2.00.
And a USCG chick's ID card, a red hoop earing, two books of matches, a gift card shaped like a ladybug, several bobby pins, a bunch of Camel points (funny, car don't smell like anyone ever smoked in it, even though I had a burn hole), some tickets to a no-name band at a no-name venue, and a BUNCH OF DOG HAIR.
Now I know why it smells funny when I let it sit in the sun all day.... Anyhow, still have the back seat unbolted, just got to find time at work to vaccum it out.
Anyone find anything worthwhile in their used Subaru??

in my subie i found a movie ticket for my big fat greek wedding which is still in the sun visor, random papers just appeared on the floor in the back, and i found out that i have a doughnut instead of an extra snowflake...my one tire kept going flat...noway im putting a doughnut on my subie
in my accent (my first car) i found a whole bag of sunflower seeds (not the bag) everywere...including the glove box, papers, undetermined amount of coins, a utility knife, some skittles, and a bad smell that took a whole bottle of febreez, some spray paint, and a couple months to go away.

^ Jesus.. who the hell 'loses' a kilo of coke.. unless your friend was a victim of having some shit placed in his car and was going to be killed after he got over some border somewhere.. LOL.
Also.. what is the easiest way to take out the back seat.. i need to do this soon for my rear suspension.. and wanna see what i might have in mine! (treasure chest).

Back seat is easy.... 2 (I think) bolts facing forward under the front of it, then lift and pull forward.... Quick and painless!
Didnt find anything odd in my BD, but in an old Jeep CJ-5 I had......
I was driving along one day with the doors off, and the rear window out when a piece of paper starts blowing all over inside.... dont know how it wasnt just sucked out the back. It turned out to be an envelope with the factory build order inside! It had tape residue on the envelope, and from what I found at a later time, it was taped to the underside of the rear seat. Kinda cool, I thought.

Yeah there's two 12mm bolts holding the front of the seat, and a metal clip in the back, so you have to push the back of the seat bottom back and down, THEN forward to get it out. Have no idea how to get the backrest out.

I had to pull the rear seats last July after a cooler in the trunk containing melted ice and week old processed cheese decided to capsize when my wife hit the brakes. I found nothing but a really horrible smell.... I wound up pulling the seat bottom, back, carpet, interior trim, and front seats and found $0.31 under a seat rail...which was probably mine to begin with. It smells remotely cheesy when it's REALLY hot and humid. I could never clean the seatbacks well enough.

I found a bracelet and some money when I removed my front seats. I found an extra seat bolt when I removed my back seat. I dont think I have ever removed the spare tire though...

My bad, meant to take her out first.
My legacy was spotless when I got it, Same with the Baja.
My '83GL had like 12 screwdrivers in it, all manuals and a brocure from the original purchase, all the original jacking hardware, and a spare tire under the hood (factory location). 200k miles and the engine had never seen the end of a hose, there was easily 1/8" of engine grime caked on every single surface in the engine bay.

Well I myself wasn't sure if it was puke, pee, or a combination of both.
So I was gonna leave it up to your imagination.

My '99 had some mascara and spilled soda on the dash.
Nothing really in the '01.
