Anyone tried the BFG AT's?

They make a 215/75/15 and I was planning on getting them. I will need them for the extra weight I will be towing. Check my webpage out for more info on my plans.

I ran BFG AT KO's on my toyota and enjoyed them. They were pretty decent even in the snow (took my truck snow wheeling in them once). Having said that I had the truck when I was 16-19. But then, I was a teenager and didn't get into any hairy situations.

I imagine with the size of their lugs, they might be a bit soft for around city. You might look at how Strat81 was running his offroad legacy.

Thanks. I'm mostly looking for a good tire that will give me great traction on the boat ramp as well as not get me stuck when I am in mud.

I'm not sure if it'll work better or if they even make them in the size you need. In the past, on all my p/u's I used Cooper Discover's. I never had a problem getting stuck in the snow or off-road and I found the mileage acceptable and normal road driving traction very good. Also, their prices are very good compared to other brands.

I don't know much about Cooper tires but I know about BFG's and know they work really well and seem to be popular down here.

I know a lot of people run them...but I feel like a lack of ground clearance might inhibit them.

Personally I'd go for more of a car tire but one that has the extra ply that you'd need for towing. How much weight are you pulling anyway?

Edit- Coopers are great tires. I'd say 98% of the pick ups around here run them in the winter time (Cooper Discoverer's) - if not year 'round.

Too bad MT/Rs don't come in that size. I had them on my Jeep and LOVED them.

I would love to find a set of boggers in that size or just a tad bit bigger. If I could I would have 2 sets of rims and tires.
