The dealer I work at took in a 2000 Impreza 2.5RS on trade.
The good:
Silver 2 door
No rust (repaired)
Cat-back with rice cannon cocked to one side (sounded NOICE)
CAI (this should be under bad, it was ust a cone filter clamped to the TB :shock:
17" OZ wheels with Sumitomo rubber
Performance clutch (I stalled it. Heh)
89,000 MILES!!!!
The bad:
Trunk full o'water. Smelled in there and the trunk floor board was warped
Tires were all shot
Dirty interior
Oil leaks (HG?)
Aaannnnd at idle you could hear the rear bearing in the trans eating itself apart.
I hear it's common, my buddy's silver 4 door 2.5RS has the same problem.
It can be rebuilt, and he knows a guy that will do it for $300 including parts.

I can't do it. If it DIDN'T need a trans I might jump on it and sell my BD, or at least buy it, clean it up, and sell it. But I have no money, no room to store the car.
Oh well. I like my BD. Once I throw some new mounts in it and fix the shifter slop, I'll love it.
