I'm curious to know what clutch type (cable or hydraulic) and what year and trim is your Legacy.

well all 90-99 2.2 are cable. except 2.2 turbos (hydraulic) 96-99 2.5 are hydraulic. and i think all 00+ are hydraulic any engine
