I was doing a research on motors and i came across this, i never knew Subaru has valve lift technology... i hope this isnt a repost.

at first i thought it was designed like honda's vtec but then it would more lean towards Mitsubishi's mivec because it only control 1 intake valve, vtec does 2.

I think its a nice tuneable option for N/A Subaru's or its just the ricer in me what do you guys think?

it would require a full engine/harness swap for it to work on older 2.5 engines, so IMO us 2.5 guys may as well just swap in a boosted engine

They have AVCS as well.

I think it would be more worth it if they did both valves. Though the new STi with AVLS and AVCS is pretty cool.

The AVCS rocks. My tuner was surprised to find that the Baja-T has it.

I'm relatively certain the RWD suby coupe will have both on the proposed N/A 2 liter engine.

I am going to look more into it, My plan is to do a EJ22 Hybrid (Doing complete research first) but if this technology is out there and Effective thats a couple more options to be jotted down in the book.

ah, i was wondering how the hell an n/a 3-liter 6-cyl could produce that power. Now I know, thanks!

Yeah, and they are DOHC too. I know two guy's who are converting their car's with them. One has done it in a 96 GTB
