This might belong in swaps and conversions, but
Will STi aluminum control arm fit my BD ? They were used on a GC for 1500 miles

They should fit. Might change the camber slightly, but they'll be a great upgrade. You'll shed some weight off the front.

Just check if the front bushings are 55mm long and not 60mm like on the GD WRX's and STi's.
I THINK the GC turbo models used the same bushings as all the N/A subaru's, but double check on that.

How do WRX & STI sedans achieve their wider stance, to fill up the fender bulges? If the control arms are longer that may be a glitch.

Each arm pushes the balljoint out another 10mm outward, giving another 20mm to the front track. This translates to more intial negative camber.

Just make sure you get an alignment after. A wider stance will make your toe way off.
