It will mostly fit, but some light modification will need to be done to get a good fitment.

The BD/G/K Legacy axleback is different from both a GC and GD.

The GC and GD use the same rear hanger location (at the rear of the muffler) which is lower than on the BD Legacy.

The GC and BD Legacy use the same front hanger, which is higher than the GD impreza.

In order to make a GD axleback fit the Legacy, you will need to modify all 3 hangers. If you want to use a stock Legacy midpipe you will also need to rotate the flange.

The Legacy wagon needs a longer tip on the axleback due to the increased rear overhang.

The GC and GD midpipes are very similar, but turbo midpipes are shorter than NA, and the rear flange is rotated differently on the GD than the GC.

The Legacy midpipe is longer than an Impreze midpipe due to the extra wheelbase, and the hanger is in a different location.

If you want to use an Impreza catback you will need to modify the hangers on the axleback, the hanger on the midpipe, and lengthen the midpipe. If you're using a turbo midpipe you may also need to swap the front flange for the smaller legacy one in order to mate properly to your cat section.

You'll still have issues with the midpipe fitment, as the turbo downpipe doesn't terminate at the same place as the NA cats, and it's a different diameter.

Basically, buy an exhaust designed for the car, or pick up pretty much any subaru catback and pay an exhaust shop to make it fit (~$100), or have a custom exhaust made up ($???)

custom exhaust would cost anywhere in the ball park of 200-450 depending on what you provide (mufller ,cat converter) i just got my wrx catback put on and the only thing that needs to be done is a 5" adapter between the mid pipe and axel back. oh yea and the hangers on the axel back needed to be relocated.

well im hopping to pick up a BG5 axleback exhaust (hks dragger) for 150 shipped so if i dont lie the sound ill simply get something fabbed up
