ok i just got out of college today...the road goes up a tiny hill and to a stop sign

i went to stop at the stop sign and the car shut off, the airbag light came on, the at oil temp light came on, the oil light came on, the brake light came on, and the car coasted backwards (its an automatic and it WAS in drive)

i but the brake on, put it in park, turned the car off and turned it back on

the at oil temp light flashed for about 2 seconds and stayed off and everything was back to normal

I've had the gas light come on in my old BD and then I ran out of gas a mile down the road. So it's possible that was the issue.

I had this happened to me on the high way in my GT (4EAT) Some how I hit the shifter and it went in reverse and the car shut down. So I coasted till I got off the off ramp, stop turned the key off and it started right up. Did you hit the shifter at all?

I had somethign similar happen. I pulled onto the road and was getting up to speed and the transmission was going insane! shifting everywhere, bogging the engine, etc. I pulled over, shut the car off, turned it back on, havent had a problem since (it was a year ago)

I'll just be captian obvious for a sec here and point out that all those lights that came on were not problems with the car. They always come on when the key is in the on position, and the engine is off...

ooooooh thaaat's right!

lmao ^^

But seriously, the reason i asked was because you said it was a small hill, when i did autox in my wagon i usually do it on a little bit over E, but then multiple 360's and 270's were introduced and when i would hand break and swing the back of the car, it would shutout lol

That's fuel starvation... not good for the engine. If you insist on running less than a 1/4 tank, you should consider some kind of in-tank baffle or dry sump system...

That's happened to me twice before...and in the same spot. Fuel between 1/2 and 1/4. I think they both happened when I responding to a fire call, so maybe the fuel was getting moved around and starved it for a second?

the brake light never turns off unless the brake is actually on so ha lol

and its not really a cai...just a cone filter with stock everything else

idk what made it happen but it never happened before, gas wasnt that low and it hasnt happen since

while we are on the subject though it seems like my car wants to start in 2nd gear i have to hit the pedal, let off and hit it again to so sometimes....flat land, highway
