Is it bad since we drive AWD to have new tires in the front and old tires (15Kmiles) on the rear ?

to not damage the center diff, i think it's something like the tread all wheels have to be within 1-5% ? of each other. If they aren't all sorts of stuff go wrong :-(

Yep, have to replace all 4 or get the new ones shaved to match.

1/4 inch rolling circumference.

Adjust tire pressure to change the rolling circumference. Use chalk lines on the tire and pavement to measure.

Or, be safe and shave them. :-)

Always best to replace all 4. It can suck when you have 35000 on some tires and get a screw in the sidewall on one... been there, done that. Sell the used ones to soften the hit on the wallet.

Just got new ones in the front

They have less then 1K miles on them

Do you think I can just get new ones for the rear ?

I think it is close enough unless your alignment was really really bad and ate the new fronts up.

I would move the fronts to the rear, and put the new ones in the front and maybe skip one rotation cycle. (If you rotate them regularly)

Yeah, Ima get news ones maybe today. The mileage on the front one's is around 600 miles and so I'ma rush to get these new ones. I won't tell them to put the new ones in the front. I'll swap them later
